Celebrations of International/Global Tiger Day - 2025 ???? 

The #Global_Tiger_Day celebrations were held across multiple locations under the Wakro Circle and Kamlang Tiger Reserve, highlighting environmental conservation and community involvement. At Kamja LP School, the event featured the distribution of fruit-bearing seedlings under the ‘#Ek_Ped_Maa_Ke_Naam’ campaign, along with an awareness session aimed at reducing or eliminating single-use plastic. In Kamja Village, the programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from Self Help Groups (SHGs), Gaon Burah (GB), local youth, and members of the general public. A plantation drive was organized at the Kamja Community Hall premises, where a variety of fruit-bearing and avenue species were planted, and seedlings were distributed among villagers under the same campaign. The event also included a comprehensive awareness session on the harmful effects of plastic and the need for sustainable alternatives. Similarly, at Sinbarai and Mithun Gate areas of KamlangTR, Global Tiger Day was marked with plantation activities of fruit bearing seedlings under the ‘#Ek_Ped_Maa_Ke_Naam’ initiative, led by the Kamlang Tiger Reserve and Wildlife Sanctuary Division. A dedicated mass awareness session was also conducted for the staff of the reserve, focusing on the urgency of banning plastic usage and promoting eco-friendly practices.
